I started this blog in early 2010 to document my recovery through what I thought would be about 4 months and two surgeries to correct FAI (Femoroacetabular Impingement) and torn labrums in both hips. Over a year later, I'm still in it. Complications of a failed hip surgery and a broken clavicle that was very slow to heal mean that a year later, I've just had a revision of the first failed hip surgery and am waiting on surgery to fix hip #2. This blog has been a helpful place for me to record my thoughts and experiences during these times. I've also appreciated reading other people's experiences with their own recovery - some insipiring and encouraging and others heartwrenching. All of them make me feel a little less alone in this. So, this is to share what I've learned along the way as well and hopefully offer someone else a little comfort. Enjoy the read.
